Greetings HOBY Alumni and Friends,
I am excited to announce the dates for the 2009 Kentucky Hugh O’Brian
Youth Leadership Seminar. The seminar will be held at Transylvania
University in Lexington, KY on June 3 – June 7, 2009. We are now in the
planning stages for another OUTSTANDING seminar. If you are interested
in volunteering to be on staff for the 2008 seminar, please fill out and
return the staff application. Be aware that seminar volunteers must
commit to the entire seminar, arrival is on Wednesday June 3, and
departure is after the ambassadors leave on June 7. Read the
descriptions of available positions and determine a position or positions
that are right for you (you may apply for more than one). Then print out
the application, answer the questions and mail it to me. Applications
must be postmarked by February 1, 2009. You will receive notification of
acceptance by e-mail no later than February 8, 2009. All applications
received after February 1, will be processed on an “as needed” basis.
After you are selected, you will have to complete a volunteer
registration packet that will be included in the e-mail. The sooner you
apply the better. If you have any questions regarding volunteering,
